Liebster Award

So I wake up this morning, haven't checked my blog in 2 days and get a few comments from which three people nominated me for the Liebster Award! I hadn't heard of it before and it is a real pleasure to be nominated by such great bloggers! Huge thanks to BarbaraVu, Georgia Brown and Niki. I am so excited about this and cannot wait to see the return of this event :)

What is the Liebster Award?

The Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers with 200 followers or less as a way to help promote them to others. I think this is a great initiative for people like me who have just started their blog, gain more followers and hopefully meet more people!

The Rules:

1. List 11 facts about yourself.

2. Answer the 11 questions given to you.

3. Ask 11 new questions for the bloggers you nominate for the award.

4. Choose 9 bloggers with 200 or less followers to nominate.

5. Go to each blogger's page and let them know about the award.

6. Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.

Okay, so let's start with 11 facts about myself:

1. I have never lived in the same country for more than 4 years since I was 11 (US, Scotland, Barcelona, Belgium,..)

2. I love music festivals and always try to attend as many as possible.

3.  I have a bucket list- some of my things on there are for example skydiving, do a safari, travel around the world for a couple of months, etc.

4. I have two nationalities: Belgian and Brazilian. My grandma is portuguese, my parents met and lived in Africa,... We are quite an international type of family.

5. I tend to always buy the same type of clothing I already have without realizing it.

6. I am not a sugary type of person, I much more prefer chips, toasts, anything salty I am absolutely crazy about.

7. I am unsure as to what my color of hair is. Blonde? Dark blonde? Brunette? My hair get so blonde over the summer that in the end I always dye darker in september and therefore am truly uncertain of what it should be.

8. I absolutely love food and have never dieted in my life. 

9. I have been blogging sever since I have had my very own laptop... Which means at least 5 years ago.

10. I am aspiring to work in an e-Business company oriented towards fashion.

11. I am, just as probably most of you are, absolutely a shopaholic.

Since I was nominated by 3 sweethearts, I therefore will respond to everyone's questions:

Barbara Vu’s 11 questions for me :

1)      If you had only 24 hours to live, what would you do? 
 I would stay with my family. I am very family-oriented and would need to spend my last hours with them at home.

2)      What is the most important thing in your life?
Again, my family. That they are happy and healthy. (This of course includes my dogs)

3)      What is your all time favorite song?
Citizen Cope- Son's gonna rise
4)      What would be the most traumatizing moment in your life?
I had a bad motorcycle accident when I was still in high school. More frightened than injured in the end!

5)      Dogs or cats? (for those who don't like animals: daytime or nighttime?)
Dogs. I am in love with my two babies. I love how dogs are so loyal and always happy to see you. I even let mine sleep with me :) 

6)      What is your favorite brand?
Hard to choose one ! For brands I can afford I have to say Wildfox, StyleStalker or Free People. There is also new belgian designers I love, their brand is Filles à Papa.

7)       How would you classify your style?
I like boho-effortless looks. I can't say that represents my look but that is what I usually aim for. However, I do mix up my looks all the time and sometimes will dress more classy, sometimes like a skater, I love looking different every day.

8)      What is the first thing you do, before you go to bed.
Take off my make-up and put some comfy PJ's on (best part).

9)      If you got  $500 000, what would you spend it on?
Give money to my family. Then probably invest in a house or apartment and treat myself with a bit of shopping of course.

10)  If your loved one was in danger, would you kill for them?
Most definitely.

11)   How did you start blogging- what motivated you?

I wanted to share my tips and input, but also wanted to get feedback and comments from people. It was more for a sharing purpose.

Georgia Brown’s 11 questions for me :

1. If you could be the prime minister of any country in the world what would it be?
I wouldn't, I would be extremely bad at it ahah.

2. Day or Night?
I would rather seize the day.

3. What is your favourite word to say?
Geez Louise!

4. What are your 3 favourite shops/ designers?

My 3 favorite at the moment are Phillip Lim, Alexander Wang and Rag & Bone.

5. Who inspires you?
Rumi Neely from Fashiontoast and Jules from SincerelyJules style-wise. 

6. What is your dream?
To have a work that I love, live by the sea and simply be happy :) very corny but this is true.

7. What is the best thing about your home?
The bathroom is absolutely amazing- best part of my house most definitely.

8. What is your favourite place to be?
In my little paradise in El Gouna. My parents have a place there and I simply love it.

9. Why did you start blogging?
Again, to share with others.

10.   What are your favourite blogs?
Fashiontoast, SincerelyJules, Victoria,  4thandbleeker, stylebykling, Amlul, and many more!

11. What was the last book you read?

A love story from Mussot.

Niki’s 11 questions for me :

1. What made you want to start up your own blog?

To share all my ideas and thoughts about fashion.

2. What would you say has been the greatest gift someone has given to you?

A trip to Portugal. I My grandma is from Portugal and I had been dreaming about going back there and was so blessed to get this trip as a surprise.

3. What would you say has been the greatest gift you have given to someone?

I threw a big surprise bday party with about 100 guests. It was a huge success.

4. If you had to be a couch for a day, which celebrity would you want to have sit on you?

Most definitely Colin Farrell's! 

5. Where do you see yourself by the end of the year?
I hope to be working in a company that sells clothing brands online. I also wish my boyfriend will follow me and come live in Barcelona. 

6. If you had to be a song, which song would you like to be?
Lana del Rey- Lucky Ones

7. What is the first thing that comes into your mind when I say: Taylor Swift (lol)
"Hey ya'll!"

8. How would you describe your style?

I prefer the summer because I love going to the beach, taking the sun, eat outside etc. However, fashion-wise, I prefer to dress in the winter. I think there are more nice items and I love the darker colors.

10. If you had to eat the same thing for the rest of the year, what would it be? 
SUSHIS ! Yum.

11. If you had to be a Spice Girl, which Spice Girl would you be?

Ginger-spicy spice! (little secret: I used to dress as her for Halloween when I was about 9)
